Challenges

Felix went through a process of internal reflection and approached Treefrog to help them rebrand and reposition. After many years and subsequent growth, they felt their brand impression was lacking a creative and cutting-edge spark. Their operations and solutions were anything from cookie-cutter, but their brand identity felt flat and did not give off the feeling of doing things differently than ‘corporate’ competitors.

Stepping out of the Corporate Box

Felix felt it was time to break ties with the stereotypical corporate and business-suite feeling of their branding. In order to start that transition, a detailed series of Brand Positioning workshops and Brand Buyer Personas were developed to clearly define their target audiences and identity specific drivers, motivations and pain-points.

Felix’s old logo was both functional and legible, but the roots of their iconography (target crosshairs/ scope) had lost its cultural zeal in light of current events and societal outlook. Felix also expressed a desire to lean into a more gender-neutral and progressive colour palette.

Creative Blueprint Development

The Creative Blueprint workshops with Felix stakeholders proved to be an incredible insight into the heart of this company. Felix was about momentum, progress, forward-thinking, and moving with change -not against it. Their identity needed that fluidity and feeling of moving at the speed of change – and visually positioning them as the leaders of positive progression.

Brand Standards Guide

Vista’s Brand Standards Guide was completed at the end of their branding process, allowing all the elements of their Brand Anatomy and toolkit to be precisely defined and clearly explained. This proved instrumental for their in-house teams to follow and continued to be a heavily-relied upon source for marketing.

Print & Promotional Collateral

Special Events often bring identity challenges to the forefront where things like Host, Vendor, Affiliate or Sponsor become important distinctions, visually. Water Ambassadors Canada asked Treefrog to devise a system of sub branding that could focus on fundraising events, but still maintain the connection to their look and feel.

Website Updates

The new Felix Global website displayed confidence and differential, turning heads in an industry that otherwise is largely sedentary and stoic.

Impact

There were many impacts felt both internally and externally. Externally, Felix (and by extension, their recently acquired partnership with Shields-Meneley) were properly positioned against their competitors and now had a branded identity that matched their values, mission and experience. Internally, the boost of energy, vision and pride was everywhere.

Felix continues to proudly celebrate their rebranding achievements within their company and with their clients.
